I think it would be cooler if you leaned more into having dynamic skin tones and color in the face instead of doing a half-measure where it’s more detailed than

Like I just cranked some of the photo settings up to add more color and contrast and stuff and to me it’s more interesting. Granted I don’t care about anime shit and I think that whole genre’s obsession with super pale Asian girls is kind of lazy and weird. And it obviously doesn’t need to be as red as my edit. And I like ugliness and imperfection and wabi sabi a lot so I’m biased.
But I think you’d be closer to having your own novel aesthetic if you leaned into doing the hybrid anime style but with like more realistic or dynamic skin tones and eye bags and nose and stuff.
