>>5873900I'm nothing special and I don't have a huge sense of self worth, but I think back and realize that I've eclipsed a LOT of the artists I admired on deviantart circa 2007-2008 that I aspired to be.
I've been pretty slow about it, mind you, been drawing for like 15+ years although the last 5 or so are when I actually started to take it more seriously and draw more than once every few months. In high school the extent of my drawing was just traces of pokemon OCs and copious amounts of doodles in the margins of my notebooks and between the answers on tests, which actually probably primed my art-brain more than I give it credit for.
Needless to say, if 15 year old me saw how far I've come, he'd be blown away.
