I don't know, but it's the only site where complete strangers regularly like not just my new art but my old art, whereas on Twitter I feel I have to network so people even see me on their feed. I have less followers on DA (less than half as much) as I do on Twitter, but there's just a lot of consistency to the attention I get, and it's nearly the same as on Twitter barring when something takes off (that's Twitter's one strength). Nobody on Twitter will see most of my old art ever, but people on DeviantArt can see it easily, cause it's a site actually built for artists. It's not as bad of a site as everyone says I think, I don't know.
