I really feel like its shitty as fuck to select things in procreate. Sometimes I'm hitting layers, blend modes and tools multiple times in a row to select it. I also very often crash in selection modes. I would have to close the program to continue and that sucks because you lose all undo data. Love the program, but I feel like nobody would use this shit if it blew up for everyone as much as it does for me..

I have an M1 ipad, any tips on optimizing the program?

A lot of brushes are created to be used primarily at 300+ DPI. How many layers you can use is dictated by how much RAM your iPad has.

That said, I've seen plenty of people posting art created with Procreate at low resolutions (2048x1536, for example) that looks good, because they're good artists. Bad art is bad art even at 600DPI. Just saying.
