A lot of media, games, anime, and animation had that long limbed rounder stylization but was still more on the realistic side proportions wise in the late 90s and 2000's. Think stuff like FLCL and Clamp animes, Bratz and Monster high dolls, lilo and stitch, and Time Splitters and Guitar Hero for video games.
