What was the last thing that made you feel good about your art?
I just checked my drawings and paintings from the last 2 years and I could clearly notice substantial gainz

Finally got the hang of comic book panel lay out and the scenes flowed smoothly together without looking clunky or stiff. I felt so happy after 3 years of grinding. Rough draft is pic related.

I found out that somebody took my art and used it as their youtube thumbnail because the video ended up on my recommendation page one day. That was pretty cool and surreal experience. Anytime I find out that somebody decided to use my art whether its to shitpost or whatever it does bring a smile to my face.

I did a digital painting the other day and while it's not my best work it's a lot better than what I've been doing the past few years, I feel like I'm finally getting over this slump I've been stuck in.

I finally got a job working on a feature film making $400k/yr salary. I'm 19 and was starting to get nervous about making it, but I remembered my parents always believed in me and funded my high-caliber education.

There’s no such thing as a feature film gig that pays a salary. They pay day rates all the way up and basically no movies even shoot for a year.

And to be getting paid like $7k in an art department gig literally doesn’t exist. If you’re making $300/day on a production you’re crushing it.

So no she’s not right.

Same as you op, looked through my old digital paintings and holy shit i thought they were decent, some werent too bad but the improvement was very obvious, i still have the same weaknesses but im continuously improving and occasionally draw some things i myself wouldnt have thought i could do
