I would like some genuine and insightful answers to this question: is it efficient or "good enough" to use digital as a medium for rigorous beginner-type studying? using study materials such as plate drawing, or even books like How To Draw by Scott Robertson.
i am not inexperienced with drawing, and i have worked through multiple sketchbooks in the past, but right now the only thing i really have accessible to me is digital drawing and painting. and, for the sake of this thread, lets just pretend i live in some world where paper is illegal in my country or something, no need for the "dude just get a notebook" replies.
if any of you have done something similar, could you share some of your progress or insight with doing these exercises digitally? thank you.
