>>5871139its an ok sketchbook, over the years I have a several variation of this sketchbook, I think its around 8 lbs in terms of thickness of the paper, its relatively toothy and absorbent in its texture, and you can get fairly good shading using pencils, although it doesn't keep it very well so you'll probably consider using workable fixative if you want to maintain the definition of pecial like medium.
In terms of ink, It takes well to filtip and gel pens, although if you are using certain type of high flow ball points or fountain pens, it'll bleed substantially. Although since the material is absorbent, it probably won't spray the ink if you do water color on top of it.
In terms of water medium, it works with water color okay, but the paper is too light to not buckle, its difficult to do smooth wet on wet with it because its absorbent, but you can dry brush pretty well. It work very well with alcohol markers like copics, but you might want to put paper under the one you are working on just in case it bleed through the pages.
The price of this particular line had seem stead increase over the years, from around just $2.99 10 years ago to recently around $8-10 in some stationery stores.
