How do I make a digital brush that emulates the look of real ink, or how do I do I adjust my scanner settings so that it doesn't ruin my trad art when I try to digitize it?

The lines are too thick, too smooth, and too clean. Ink drawing has a certain messiness to it's lines from the artist's hand, use a small ink brush and turn your stabilizers down. Practjhxskice hatching.

For me it's using both chisel pen and felt tip pen. They look ok, and you can use a special paper canvas to emulate real paper

If I could get real ink on paper look look good with digital coloring I would. That's why I asked about the scanner settings

Using very bright white paper paper helps and makes a hell of a difference, but you usually need to postprocess all images, (contrast or levels correction).

Also search on youtube, tons of tutorials.

use the smear tools, that's actually what they're for. we use them to blend colors because we're too lazy for proper brushwork but half of them are there to emulate what happens when you use ink on wet paper
