Once I studied and practiced XYZ Forms on How to Draw book, how exactly can I draw "anything" using this?
Do I have to simplify everything I want to draw into orthos?

The book is only minimum of weight you need, the main part is to draw a lot of what you want to draw and also have these ideas in mind...

you dont have to, you have to if you see it as neccesary, even so, if you can draw in ortho and it doesnt bother you, why not?

We are drawing cause we like to draw, so draw .

I found Charles Lin's Foundation videos, went through drawing bugs with his' + Robertson' techniques.

It's useful but the process of doing orthos + 3D simplification + thight drawing is time-consumming.

Thanks for the minded feedback. Today I went back to figure drawing but with this techniques in mind to see how it goes. Guess I'll let you know for anyone in the same situation.

For everyone reading: watch John Park Sketchbook tour, both he and Scott Robertson give very relevant information about what How To draw and Draw Through is all about, and how important it is to master it and have patience.

No matter how big I draw, I always feel like my measurements get too small to be precise and end up half-assing it.

What is the solution? I am far-sighted, not sure if that influences anything, but I never seem to improve on making good use out of my canvas space.

That's what krenz and japanese books show. It's all the same fundamentals but scott robertson enjoyed drawing cars instead of anime girls so weebs don't understand the practical applications of his books.
