Has anyone made much money from redbubble/sites similar to it? How do you become successful on these sites?

I have about 350 design on a similar site
was really hyped when I found out.
I made pixel art, lettering, trendy shit, outrigth stole disney stuff.
Then the months passed and I sold barely anything
I stopped updating, and still sell about 3-4 shirts a year
I got 2 bucks each time.
It's been 3 years.
You will never EVER make a living out of it, take it from me.

I got by on my passive Print-on-Demand income for several years, especially during the mid 2010's. Redbubble was my best earner. My lifetime earnings from the site are probably in the low-mid tens of thousands. This was completely passive with no attempts to drive sales myself. I haven't even logged on to the site since 2020 and I saw I made over $2k from the past year, just from old designs that still rank well.

Success on these sites are always about good SEO and appealing art (doesn't have to even be good). You'll be most successful by learning how to do keyword research and making designs based on supply/demand for topics you know people are looking for. Just making stuff you think looks cool and tossing it up will get you nowhere. You're also competing with people who have been at this for a decade, and these sites are beyond oversaturated.

If I were you, I would not go down this path in 2022. Your time is almost certainly better spent elsewhere. You will more than likely end up like >>5843149.

You will probably not sell any, but go for it. If they're tied to any popular IP, then tag it and put the name of it in the title + tags. If not, good luck.

Make sure you jack the prices up on stickers so that you make at least a few bucks per sale.

I'll have to sell 30 shirts to just get even
Why would I invest a month of work doing 20 drawings worth of 3000 bucks and then rolling a fucking dice to sell 600 shirts to get even and THEN start getting a profit
I may as well spend another month selling private coms

completely forget about your past work and use all your willpower and time to get new work
Stop trying to capitalize up to your toenails
In 10 years, pick the best and make an artbook, instead of selling your shit now for pennies, if you are so good and there's a demand for your work later
If you are not, then you are wasting time and nobody will buy your shirts now

If you won't do this, then simply don't bother with any sites like Redbubble. Your drawings will not be "put to work" if you just toss them on Redbubble.

Where do you get an artbook published and sold? I dont want to be in charge of printing and distribution. But this does interest me.

I was almost considering making NFTs, but there is too much upfront cost for minting and its unscalable. However, there is no apparent cost to just throwing up art on redbubble.

If you got a design sell when redbubble was hot, that's it, those designs already dwarfs every million new design with 0 sells
redbubble doesn't have twitch or twitter algorithm, they sell fucking shirts and stickers and the top sell is eternal
