what software do you guys use for digital drawing? I have just started out with a cheap tablet and photoshop but I dont really like it, as I just want to draw without fucking around with all the other shit it has to offer

I use CSP now. Started out with Krita and recently tried Paintstorm but CSP feels better for me. Never used Photoshop.

I use paint tool SAI for that exact reason, it's a simple drawing software, and its interface is so clean, and easy on the eyes. I did try CSP, Photoshop, and other software, but SAI is my favorite by far.

Procreate for sketching now due to ipad. im a little sad because i cant use my favorite brush Photoshop anymore, that ive been using for years.

Go to ctrl paint to learn how to draw in photoshop. Don’t EVER get csp to start out. I drew in csp for two years and only started understanding when i switched to PS.

If want something simple to start with Firealpaca would be a good choice. Once you get the hang of that maybe give Paint tool sai a try.

I originally was only Photoshop but ive switched entirely to CSP for illustrations. Photoshop is now for image editing and UI shit only

I've switched back to Photoshop after using CSP for years, since even with all of CSP's advantages, PS just feels better to draw in.
I've put this down to plain autism, but if there's a technical explanation for this please let me know.

CSPs greatest strength lies in linework. It cant handle painting at all. It can't make use of more than one CPU core, so no matter how many bells and whistles they add, itll run like shit.

Everything CSP is good at, sai 2 does just as well but without the bloat.

Krita and PS are both great for painting, but PS has hard coded shortcuts, which is super fucking annoying.
