>>5836128>>5836145>>5836119>>5836129I agree with you. There is an undeniable relation. But this also applies to many things and in the grand scheme of things it is comparatively harmless. And not everyone who thinks children are cute is a step away from cp. You did not refute this angle. You just sidestepped it with disingenuous bullshit. What is special about this comparatively irrelevant thing that brings out witchhunting? It has to be self-indulgence given all the other problems and undeniable relations ignored or facilitated, as you just did. Yes, actually, the internet in general, videogames, much of film, etc. contributes to eventual criminal acts and many socially detrimental effects. Some might say it is even intentional given the broken families, atomism, and cowering in consumerism to the point of inhumanity.
It also comes to a question of how much is too much. The nanny state question. It is easy to reason to technocratic totalitarianism, especially when it benefits you, and those invested will see no wrong. It is easy to reason to anything in fact.
Also when it comes to fiction/fantasy vs reality that ship has long sailed. Anyone who spends a significant amount of time on social media is thoroughly deluded and living in a fake world. Look anywhere and you will see that people, especially under 20 cannot identify jokes, cannot understand that weak stereotypes or memes thrown around as jokes or conversation padding aren't facts of reality nor intended to be, cannot understand that their gender identity has little importance to what actually constitutes a person if they lived in the real world and what sexuality they pick and chose even less being as they have no experience and are deeply suspicious/repressive of their own bodies and instincts.
