>>5834301>ntw but why are artists such goddamn insufferable faggotsMany reasons most are this way:
artists spend countless hours grinding some bullshit line scribbles and accrue massive amounts of entitlement due to being conditioned to believe in an instant gratification reward system. They think they deserve praise for every little piece of shit they vomit out.
Some are just the typical stereotypical powerless feeb who wish to turn the tables online. They get off on telling others what to do by correcting them with bad redlines, regurgitation of basic advice found in most beginner textbooks (which they may or may not understand), etc.
Others are mentally ill or fall within a mental illness umbrella that is currently humored these days rather than ridiculed.
There is also the " poz " factor. Some are sadly very gullible and bought into the ill-defined definitions of art as proposed by 3rd party money laundering schemers (which they created in order to lessen the barrier of entry by which they can assign frivolous artistic value, which then transfers into tangible monetary value to complete the scam). This is why you have people praising some smudge of paint on a smock as meaning anything. Because under these dubious definitions, arbitrary meaning is derived by any viewer, not from the artist's expression as it should be. Skill is also tossed out the window, sadly.
Most artists are a mix of some or all of these traits in varying degrees. This is what I've learned over time as someone who draws for fun as a hobby, and as someone who loves to draw every free moment I can.
tl;dr people who don't do it for fun are crazy
