Unfortunately he doesn't go too deep on the inner parts. This is where I'm struggling and many mecha games have customization of these parts so I'm looking more on their anatomy and its function. Guides on designing a good shell is everywhere already since it's easier...

Profzd has some videos on drawing mecha and machines and vehicles in general that would help.
I remember when I was a kid I read a book called mecha mania that was fairly decent if you wanna draw more dynamic cartoony mecha.
