btw, is modern art ever commissioned or just sold at auction/galleries?
dunno if im wrong but feels like pre-modern art was just commissions by lords/church etc. and I've never heard of modern art being specifically commissioned, hence the salesman

i believe that artists at a certain level will sell their next work before its finished. If they are a "hot commodity" then rich people will line up to buy whatever they make next, just to brag about it to their other rich frieinds.

IQ peaked in the 1850 and then sharply dove down. Thanks to schools (before that, everyone learned what they needed in 1-4 years, but then someone decided a torturous obedience system was needed) as well as pathetic losers breeding more than intelligent people (which always happens when societies get too safe and prosperous). Add to that chemical poisoning and hedonism for the last 100 years and you get America.

Don't worry, there will be a complete crash sooner or later and it will be back to only smart people surviving. 2020-21 was already a pretty accurate IQ test and the results will be visible soon.
