Yeah, I see myself as a noisy, faceless figure. I'd much rather put bits of myself in the subjects I draw anyways because self portraits are stupid. I think it elevates your art when you draw other things and make them secretly say things about you, that's why I fucking love Dali.

Ask Him to show you some flowers to paint them to brighten the darkness then! Watercolor botanicals are not that difficult, and the results are quite nice.
