What made you focus all your attention on drawing and art?

Why didn't you pick up something useful like programming where you're actually going to make some serious money? Can you answer that?

Programming is absolutely useless unless you're a top programmer in which case why didn't you just become a top artist? Every application you want already exists even if you have an issue here and there. It's better than completely rewriting the entire application from scratch. Something non-programmer don't seem to understand.

I was good at art as a kid accused of tracing the first time I even drew something so I picked it back up later after reading tons of hentai and wanting to draw some myself
A large portion of my life was spent unsure of what to do and because I'm the youngest sibling in my family I want to stray from the beaten path and do art

This is a common myth based on heavily overhyped Bay Area salaries. Most programmers don't make nearly as much and software development is, mostly, a miserable job unless you're genuinely obsessed with the subject.

I thought about programming, I even use linux, but I see that it is basically an organizational mess combing through code debugging in addition to it being a competitive market place so I thought if I'm going to be competitive why not do it in art. Money is not an issue, there are plenty of ways to make it.

Humans usually pursue a passion because they think it's cool. Almost every navy seal says how they watched Rambo or some war movie then thought "I wanna be that badass" Scientists talk about their first telescope or how cool it was to discover something we'd think is boring. The kid in me just wants to draw cool shit.

No, it's literally just fucking boring. Art is flexible, if something doesn't work you can add to it, edit it, or erase it altogether. Programming is the complete opposite, it either works or it doesn't which is easier to figure out the solution but isn't creatively appealing at all

Always been talented at art, decided to try and see how good I could get, took me a while once I got good at rendering to decide I wanted a simpler style.
I do program too. Combined with my drawing I make shitty mobile games and take art commissions. I'm not rich but it's a living

What I said isn't mean it's true. You that's why you're so triggered. Most artists does some souless work in their life to keep afloat for the transition of going fulltime. I simply said stop spending so much money.

The fact that you're going so hard on this shows that there is some fat in your budget that you cannot justify, or maybe you think you 'sold out' because you program more than working on your dream.

JK I actually just think drawing is cool and money is an arbitrary social construct that might not always have value.

when society has collapsed, money won't mean anything, but good art (that survives anyway) will still be beautiful, and it will still inspire the human spirit.
