The problem is that the vanishing points won't move the same amount on the line as the cube is rotating. It wouldn't be accurate.

Bottom line, you should learn how to draw a cube from any angle without any guides at all, the vanishing points are often off the page anyway, it'll be a much more valuable skill in the long run than trying to find some quick hack to use.
