No, but not having them WILL stop a good artist from being great. Work is so much easier, it simply goes faster when you're not fighting your tools all the time.

Cintiqs are not really expensive, pro artist make like 2k per illustration if not more they can pay a cintiq with a few days work, not everyone works at wallmart anon

No it still holds up. As long as you have a 2nd monitor to put lesser used menus on like the navigator then it’s fine. If you can get the 2nd model that came out the same time as the 22HD then even better.
