Recently I had a conversation with a good friend of mine about making artwork. The both of us aren't creative or even that interested in the majority of existing art: We simply haven't had that exposure, so to say. However, we are motivated to make art ourselves as complete noobs (I'm more drawn to drawing on paper, he's more interested in painting). Aside from that, we think it's fun to save everything from our 'art journey' and even share it on 4chan and/or discord, maybe some art websites as well. Do you guys have any advice how to start?
Info summarized:
>23/24 yrs old
>interested in making art
>complete noobs, don't know shit about making art
>work/study in exact sciences or financial matters, so no creative exposure at all
>only go with mindless consumption in our spare time instead of something fun and engaging
>want to have a hobby by creating art (drawings/paintings) as a way to enjoy something with more engagement instead of chasing dopamine rushes.
>experience lack of commitment to something when patience/learning is required for something like work or study that isn't compulsory to do
Love to hear input from /ic/
