Is it worth it?

My mom gave me 500 dollars for Christmas and said "please don't use this for rent or a car payment. Buy something fun with this."

So I'm going through my amazon wishlist that i've been compiling for a long time and I'm wondering which art books and tools are really worth buying.

What I draw is basically just 80s style retro anime with cars motorcycles, robots, demons and skulls. I occasionally do portrait or figure studies but only as a means to an end. The aforementioned are basically the only things I want to get better at.

My perpective is ok, my anatomy is not great, my rendering is horseshit. composition is bad. emotional expressions and gesture are bad.
