you guys need to see past the hateboner you have for that racist and appreciate what he is expressing, despite who he is. a lot of it is even common sense, especially the way avant garde/modern art scammers view the arts as another scam opportunity.
A lot of the stuff he said is similar to what i've also been thinking about over the years. I consider myself lazy as fuck and sometimes I wish I was harder on myself when i was younger.
I currently have a full time job and draw as a hobby because I enjoy it greatly and I enjoy what little improvements and strides I happen to make just from mileage, but this guy is basically reinforcing this nagging feeling i've been having for years now. It's also interesting to see how differently people express themselves when they're bound by their social obligations, whether it's being overly p.c. or overly edgy and racist, can it be said that they are truly expressing their true selves? if they have to take measures to not offend, or to try to offend, is that really them?
I only hope I can force myself into actually practicing in a more structured and refined way and putting in greater effort, not just with drawing but in music too, my great passions in life. you can think whatever about the other bullshit he's done in his past, but his perspective is mostly spot on, in my opinion.
