>>5820163Yeah I really didn't understand the purpose of gesture until I started using it as an underlayer to build on top of with structure. I feel like practicing gesture in isolation can give you bad habits where you draw wildly out of proportion gestures or your lines don't actually mean anything other than a general direction.
I think the Watts version of gesture is the most useful, which is funny cause proko has almost the least useful.
pic related, it's like combining gesture with the block-in. It might not be "pure" gesture but it is extremely practical.
