Do any anons here play an instrument alongside drawing? I'm considering getting into piano but I'm worried that'd be putting too much on my plate. Thoughts?

Yeah, I play guitar and bass but my goals for instruments are nothing in comparison to what I want to achieve with drawing. For me the instruments are more about enjoying and understanding music through "touching" it, so it helps me relax, while drawing is less about relaxing and more about putting work on something in order to get the final result I want.
So both is about enjoying the art, but music is about the ride and drawing is about the destination. If you have the goal of mastering both you gotta be good at managing your time, since practicing regularly is key

i picked up the piano, learning a simple song and trying it out as a MIDI keyboard for music production.

Its definitely on the back burner to art but its fun to mess with for 30 minutes a day

I misread that and assumed you were asking if I drew while actively playing an instrument, to which the answer would have been no. I am retarded. However I have learned to play music as a hobby, and occasionally do play. At one time I thought of composing music and now have a few sample tracks and a clutter of incomplete tunes. Was thinking of one day creating some audio and visual asset packs and posting them online.
One hobby time and skill-wise will outweigh the other. Just hope the one you are better at is the one you actually like doing.

If you're already on track to meet your art goals go ahead. You can make decent progress just practicing 20 - 30 minutes a day and it's nice to have an outlet that you don't have to tryhard at. Just make sure you learn proper hand posture.

I am interested in gardening/growing veg, guitar, electric, drawing, painting, making clothes from scratch, embroidering, gaming.
I literally have too many fucking hobbies. I have personally narrowed it down to 2... just guitar and art. I think you can handle the both?

dude its not too hard. You have to stick at it! If you really wanna learn, you can do it. You will sound like shit for a few months, maybe even a year then you will reap the rewards. Use youtube... get a teacher if you have to

If you can eliminate a distraction that is "useless" and substitute it with (say) piano, then you should face no problem.

Use art as a break from piano and vice-versa, it can't go wrong unless you burn out from both and decide to play video-games instead.

No one can draw 12 hours a day while making gains anyway, another discipline might be good food for your brain.
