Buying laptop, tablet and stylus. Recommendations please and words of wisdom welcome.

So far I've scratched the surface of what is Wacom. Thank you ahead of time I am a novice, any suggestions for one without a screen to just plug into my own desktop/laptop. Also, and one for with a screen of it's own to-go when I'm more advanced.
