they are memes because the definition in the ideal sense is separate from the actual methods. retards with very narrow view of art use tricks to get you to think that what they advice is something that has always been done for the best of all great art by pointing at similarities in some sense or they attribute a vague quality in finished artworks to training regimen or special focus. sometimes people go through metaphors to extend the importance of the thing.

because accuracy is something that happens naturally through mileage as well as knowing the subject
when autists spend hours on just block-in
when people think something that is not complete accuracy is "wrong"
when certain methods are attributed as the old master way of drawing
when certain people do not move away from it after a few sessions and insist it is how every drawing should be done

ust like construction can be a non meme but certain artists obsess over it only to make bad works.
