https://www.instagram.com/_jimvisible/Kinda feel guilty for posting in here, but I'm doing it anyway.
I'm not an artist, I'm an electrician, but I've decided to have a crack at art. Cleaned out the normie happy snaps on my insta and started doing everydays about a week ago. For now I'm just fucking around with Procreate and Snapseed/photography, but I'm gonna teach myself Cinema 4D and Unreal 5 to try and do some cool 3D stuff, because I'm pretty good at computer (played a disgusting amount of video games in the past).
Never had training, and never took art in school because it felt like something I just couldn't do, but I've always wanted to put out something creative. For a long time I thought it would be music, but after 14 years of trying I still haven't finished a single song (ADHD doesn't help). That's why I'm doing everydays, so I'm actually finishing stuff, and even though it's shitty, it feels really fucking good.
So yeah, maybe this is just my hobby of the week (classic ADHD), maybe I'm just having a quarter life crisis after realising that learning a trade to pay the bills is only mildly fulfilling, or maybe I've found the thing I'm looking for. I hope I stick with it.
I guess the sell is that if you follow, it might be fun to observe a bloke starting from literally absolute zero to see where it goes, if I manage to keep it going. I think I've got a decent frame of mind for this type of thing, I just haven't put any time into learning how to do any of it until now.
This whole bio probably isn't necessary, but I just wanted to justify posting my dog vomit hobby page amongst a bunch of actual artists. Cheers!
pic related, these are the two procreate "pieces" I'm happiest with so far. Keen to hear critiques if you've got them
