Ten years ago when I used a Wacom on Windows for the last time, Windows Update installed me some drivers that didn't work, the included CD-ROM installed me some drivers that didn't work in some different way, and the tablet model I had had been rebranded three times making finding the right driver download on the Wacom website a logic puzzle with time traveling elements. The end result was a system where the tablet would only work half the time after restarting my computer, and would randomly break during use, leaving me to roll the working driver roulette by rebooting.
I have no reason to assume that this has changed. Other operating systems just work.
