I drew occasionaly since i was a kid, but i always felt i wasn't good enough, so I started copying very early (not tracing) other people drawings, asi thought that way I could understand how shit works.
When i tried drawing by myself without reference, i always felt an underwhelming feeling, I always felt what I drew was bad, I couldn't find enjoyment in drawing.
I only felt enjoyment when i copied something, as i could get some pretty decent results, even if the drawing wasn't mine and i just copied what something else already did.
Now I've been drawing "seriously" since this September. I've started copying and copying and copying. I haven't been constant with my practice, as there were moments i dropped everything and haven't drawn a thing for weeks.
I hardly ever tried to draw something by myself and when I did, that were the moments i felt so bad i wanted to quit drawing.
I only restarted recently because i don't want to surrender. Today i went through all my past sketches since this September. What I noticed is, I got fairly better with lines. They are straighter and cleaner, as I started drawing with my shoulder and not with my wrist.
Anyway, i feel like all I've copied until now hasn't been very helpful. I feel like I forgot most of what i already drew; i think what i'm doing it's not the most effective way to learn. I copy too much and i never put to practice what i learn by drawing without references.
Here all my sketches until now in chronological order (they are 70+, not too much to browse through):

I know the first few are absolute abominations, but i think they get slowly better down.
