Before and After experimenting with style
(both are wips and will post result soon)
My process in finding an art style:
>gather your favorite artists/artwork or things that are visually appealing to you (ex. certain textures, traditional painting techniques/methods, Norman Rockwell, etc)
>lists key traits you want in your art (ex. I want colour variety, textured brush strokes, impasto, shape language, etc.)
>apply it; if your desired art style focuses on anatomical interpretation get a refrence and stylize it, if its rendering get a ball or a doodle and render it. (Such as the mini drawing between the wips labelled ‘rendering style’)
Post your style as either finding one, already have one, or changing to another one.
Generally recommend to know your fundamentals first before worrying about style but if you dont want to idc.
