I went to generalbutch's patreon out of curiousity and he has 7251 patrons. So at the absolute minimum he's making over 7 grand a month if everyone joined at the $1 tier (very unlikely). More likely he's making like 20,000-30,000 a month, maybe more.

I'd say 2D, nobody gives a shit about 3D when it's not moving and animation is profitable but it takes so long I doubt it's reliable as a main source of income until your patreon is running.

Maybe if you're a furfag you can do those 5s loops I see from time to time and get a few thousand for them but otherwise I don't know.
