I still do think that there is a "vicious circle" type of thing: like heavy alcohol consumption is often a symptom at first, but over time also become a cause.

I'd say, if you allow me to get a little rough, the issue is not that women are rejecting men, is that men aren't psychologically strong enough. You were thinking with your dong: why would you care about a 16yo girl basically dating men for money & comfort? Now that you're older, was it really worth it?
That is to say, if you want to build yourself solidly as man nowadays, you're mostly on your own. There were historical models, that have been used for centuries, think, your classical Greek heroes: they were elevated for their wisdom, for their strength, not for their violence or their submissions to stupid rules.
