After observing for a long time and analyzing the drawing of both Hampton and Bridgman I have come with the conclusion that maybe everything it's on the lines.
That's why I want to hear opinions from other artists.
Whenever I try to make a drawing with complete lines, it often losses the sense of volume or the drawing tends to be off, but whenever I make a drawing with incomplete lines or segmented lines, or heck, I just leave some lost lines and leave the drawing to the interpretation of the viewer, it often looks ok.
Have you ever experienced this?
Should I stick to draw with incomplete lines even If I want to do some lineart or must I force myself to draw with defined lines?
Some artists do that on the sketch phase, but never on the line art phase.
See picrel to understand what I mean.
Also kind of unrelated but how can I learn to control lines on my tablet?
I can perfectly control lines on my paper but on my tablet I am forced to chicken scratch since I can't draw loosely.
