Automotive design used to be pretty regional, and a German, French, Japanese, or American car usually had some pretty distinct traits that reflected its country of origin. Now everything is the same aerodynamic crossover blob with a 1.5L turbo. You can interchange badges and nobody would notice. There are of course a few exceptions like most Porsches or the Mustang that have been around decades.
