>>5776163Like I said, you are entitled to your opinions about his style. I'm not trying to change it. I'm just saying there's a lot of value to having a recognizable style and brand. The fact he's not the only one doing "bimbo", as you call it, is part of the reason why it's so important.
It's entirely possible to push it too far, but I think artists in any field and era eventually have a period where they delve into esoteric concerns, and that becomes what they're known most widely for. One could argue Picasso's earlier work demonstrate more observational skill than his latter works, but that's not what he's known for.
Some artists fight to be number one, others stake their own territory.
