Soul is art that people WANT to make
they can be paid to do it, but if they werent paid they'd still try and make it.

This isn't always the case, but alot of the times I feel this mindset creates soulful art.

Idk the artist but really like how they capture 3d stuff which is what I've been tryna capture with my stuff (pic rel)

But the guy I posted earlier, you can tell they thought up something cool in their mind, tried their best to draw it, and for the most part succeeded, thats soul.

Soul is most frequently observed in one of two scenarios. A zero effort sketch done by a really good artist (the type of stuff a pro will throw down on a piece of paper just for fun, without really thinking), or a high effort piece done by someone with a low level of skill but with a passion for what they are drawing. The second case is a bit trickier, since often the beg qualities of the art overshadow the soul. So in conclusion, if you want to achieve soul, I would recommend for you to get really good and then just shitpost. Questions?

interesting subject + good composition + genuine passion + interesting conceptualization = sovl
note: you don't need skill to achieve sovl, as some beginners have a natural sense for what looks good, but those types of artists are few and far between.

I dunno if im on point here but literally tried to answer this in some of my art. When moving backwards from what a person sees, where is the root idea of individuality that seperates what is me from what *is* does it even exist? How can in looking backwards toward the root place, behind the eyes, behind touch etc, how can we even look if its filled of the past impressions of our experiences and clouding pure vision? So yeah this is one of many i wish i had more scanned but what does the soul look like is what i was attempting, its been spammed in other threads and im sorrym

The entire point of the term soul is that's it's a metaphysical concept. It is something felt rather than a quantifiable commodity. If it could be distilled into a set of instructions and mass produced it wouldn't be soul.

If you obsess over having it rather than just listening to it than you don't have it

Indeed the greeks, plato, spinoza and others have been suggested to me many times, i keep finding myself in the east however, vivekananda specifically and the sutras of patanjali have been mind melting. At the end of the day I find actual mediation or psychadelics have done more for me than any book or philiospher.
