>>5771738Anon, ignore rest telling you you suck, because this guy said it best, and also in my experience most correct when it comes to twatter
>>5770173I feel like twitter is absolute worst place for artists, because it's not about your skill of art but amount of networking and connecting you do. And it's not just professional networking. And while networking is absolutely vital for growth and opportunities, I still feel punished at times because I'm not out there pouring out every single thought, emotion or idea I have. I had multiple times wonder why my art or even regular posts don't get any traction, and I have solid following (meanwhile, same post on Insta, while not big, I still would get better engagement response than Twitter). Even Tumblr is better because tags there have purpose.
Twitter seems too selective about what should show up on peoples feed. I'm maybe not interactive person there, being socially anxious and all that, but I do like tweets, comment and retweet occasionally. Twitter depends on you being way more interactive than just couple of tweets trough week.
Also, what does Twitter deem sensitive today? Because I noticed really ridiculous shit marked ''sensitive'', like really benign stuff. Not only benign stuff is marked sensitive, but also NSFW and controversial are under same sensitive umbrella. Just today I went to turn on sensitive filter because I was getting tired of porn in my face whenever I click trending tag and I'm afraid that will filter out all the rest with it too.
So yeah, my advice, use twitter for finding cool artists, and regular engagement. Use Insta, Tumblr, Pixiv or even ArtStation for pure art posting.
