Cuz you can crab on the toilet but when you actually get home after work/school/college and have time to git gud you are tired and just want to play vidya or watch dumb shit to relax.
The people who are actually successful are the few people who managed to associate drawing with relaxing or have asian parents level of self discipline.
Most people just arent cut out for this shit. Consider 90% of jobs dont require you to do anything once you get home. Art requires you to study every day of your life and every time you take a break you lose weeks of mechanical skill.
You can get around a lot of this by having really low standards for you art and being happy making shit art or copying other peoples art exclusively like the low level japanese artists do.
You WILL get better than the crabs just brute force drawing every day like this but you will have a ceiling on your skill level and ability without actual study.

It's all a psychological battle with your own self discipline and ability to just do something every day. The crabs gave up. Dont let them make you give up.

When you want an artist to fail you don't insult them because that will only make them self reflect. No, to truly tear somebody down you honeypot them. You lead them away from improvement with false praise. Let them dig themselves deeper into bad habits

Because if someone is having a bad day they can just shit on someone with no consequences here. They don't even need to be an artist to do it. So you get a lot of board hoppers and people who don't draw shitting up the board with comments of 0 substance. Rude or offensive comment is against the rules but nobody reports and the mods are useless so it might as well not even be a rule.

Idk recently I feel people have been nice here whenever I post my drawings. I mean it's usually in /beg/ or /beg/ adjacent threads but nobody tells me I'm a complete failure who should cut off my hands anymore. It's nice.
/ic/ today is very different than /ic/ a year or few ago. Though the fotm ngmi meme changes are weird.
