Its really pathetic too because I am a porn artist. my old blogs on tumblr 3 years ago had better engagements.
Occasionally I'll get a influx of followers because bigger artist I follow for some reason started looking through my old art post for and retweeted some of them, but I don't get sustained attention because I uses most of my timeline retweeting other people's stuff I like rather than posting good quality content of my own. Although slowly but surely my follower and engage is rising, just pretty slow.
I think if you properly engage with the content circle that you are interested in (like interact with other contents you like) and put out quality content of your own at a steady pace, I am sure your reach will increase overtime. As to how to reach a lot of people quickly, unfortunately I probably couldn't tell you anything useful.
