In this case it's pretty obvious he just copied the character, not just pose, but facial features, expression, proportions, manner of dress, literally everything. It's a 1:1 plagiarism. OP's comic says to copy a pose but put your own face on it. In effect, steal but make it your own. If you're good at this it's hard for anyone to catch or prove you did it.
