What's the point?

What is the point of trying anyways?
There are thousands upon thousands of artists stacked atop one another, squelching for the bits of fame or money. You cant really draw for your own self, because by doing so you would dismiss the opportunity to tickle your own Ego.
Who doesn't want to be remembered after his death?

Everyone wants to be immortal. And this constant struggle for spiritual immortality has led us to the situation, where people draw grotesquely bland creations on social media for the crumbs of attention and recognition they believe they have been entitled to. Those unfulfilled glories, and desire to be a thing they aren't, has led us to the constant struggle an division of minds.

Why don't we have humility for the small, yet so much hubris alongside the big and well-known artists? Are they prideful in their vague immortality and relative higher quality of living? Haven't they sold their soul for 30 pieces of silver?
