besides being "industry standard" what does photoshop even have against csp now, liquify was a massive deal

I'm using CSP right now and its performance is seriously dogshit. It couldn't even handle a 200px texture brush. Transform tool is a lagfest. The only reason I'm still using it is because I'm a beg and don't want to waste money on a photoshop sub just yet.

CSP is getting better and better, meanwhile photoshop doesnt give a fuck about artists (for example there is a wacom pen jitter bug, unsolved issue since 2017?)

Once big texture brush lag is solved, I see no reason to keep photoshop around.

Yup, same, wouldnt trust the cracks so ill pay for photoshop if I want to use it. The crack creator or repacker openly commented "if you dont like it, buy the software" when someone commented on finding malware in a cracked version.

I use CSP primarily, have for almost a decade (since before it was even called CSP) and the optimization is a serious problem it has. It doesn't impede me too much since I mostly just do linework, but if you paint then a decent chunk of the DEFAULT BRUSHES lag the shit out of the program because the fucking program isn't multithreaded.

It'll probably be shit. You don't need liquify anyway, its solely for hack concept artists who can get away with their work being ugly smears and that's about it. Background saving and the new 3D tools easily trump it.

from experience those tend to be false flags for trojan horses cause of some regedits that need to happen to crack the version. that's well known but there's always noobs who scream malware in the comments and uploaders get tired of explaining the same shit (that's usually explained in the readme/info anyway)

Photoshop has cross-compatibility with all the other stuff Adobe makes like After Effects, Illustrator and the video one.
It's like Apple, the Iphone, Macbook, Ipad, Apple TV and their earbuds are all overpriced and useless but when you own several of them it starts to make sense.

Also I think you can do 3D stuff in PS now

Is running color broken for anyone else in the current version when using material brush tips? The density of paint slider has no longer any input on the appearance of brush strokes, but has instead switched places with Amount of paint. Effectively this means that you can't control Amount of paint for Running color.

The interesting thing is that it looks like this CSP Liquefy will be a tool instead of a cumbersome dialogue like in Photoshop. Like Gimps liquefy which is pretty nice.
Now, what Im really hoping which afaik no other software does (without jumping through hoops) is multilayer liquefying. I expect disappointment however.

funny adobe is about to remove the 3D painting portion from photoshop in opt for substance painter (which is superior tbf and no subscription)
so the pipeline is 3d program sculpt -> substance painter -> compose -> photoshop paint over and retouch

I really like csp for the lines and color blending but it really needs to upgrade itself when it comes to painting and just snappyness in general

CSP also has an atrocious UI in general. no option for changing brush size by dragging the cursor, nor is there a shortcut for rotating the canvas. fucking amazing.
