Probably a email phishing scam that causes them to open a link to "verify" their account by entering their username and password.

That can't save you if you get phished from some bullshit email that contains a link with a website designed to look exactly like the real thing. 2FA is importnat too

Also /ic/ make sure that you use 2FA with either a digital or physical authenticator. SMS 2FA can easily get cracked from some random asshole doing a sim swap attack on your ass. The security from phone carriers suck and they get hacked All the fucking time.

You can change the handle, in fact that nft scammer did change back the handle to nanba319 (original artist's handle) after people started noticing it qas hacked. Then he changed it again to copycriptonft, and weirdly twitter still haven't done anything. Jack is such a grifter too, he doesn't care about the user anymore and even want to add kre nft functionality to twitter to accommodate those nft scammers. The whole concept of nft is iust a scam.

Nah, pajeets can hack 2FA that's only authenticated by SMS/phone. Telecomms all over the world basically mass employ pajeets for customer service, so they do something called a sim swap, which copies your SIM info to a new card/phone, basically cloning your number. Then they can just request the 2FA and now they have access to all your accounts. The only way to sort of stop it is to go into your account settings and lock sim transfers. In which case you basically password protect that process. It's not perfect obviously, but better than just having 2FA.
