Are certain shapes inherently "cooler" or "prettier" or "uglier" than others? Why?
Is there any study on it?
Pic related. A lot of people around the world seem to agree lowered cars look "cooler", so they go out of their way to lower their cars and make driving way harder just for aesthetics.
I don't like smoking at all - in fact, kindly kill yourself -, but even I have to admit it looks stylish. Even a child will look badass smoking.
I asked a female friend (also non-smoker) about it and while she said badass isn't a word she'd use to describe it, she finds it "looks sexy".
What makes these shapes, poses, postures and graphic abstractions appealing to so many people? Do we have a "cool shape recognition" brain area that serves more purposes than simply finding attractive sexual partner faces?
