Are those kind of vehicles and machinery you see often in manga hand drawn with references or filtered photos/3d models? Series like Zipang and to a lesser extent Red Eyes are full of them and sometimes they feel too "perfect" for a lack of a better word. Yet in other manga like Five Star Stories, 80s/90s mecha anime and 2D games like Metal Slug you can tell easily than everything is 100% hand drawn and they don't give the same vibe.
