I don't know if what happened to you could be described as "getting cancelled", but since it sounds like it, i'll refer to what happened to you as that.
My advice is to reach out to other "cancelled" artists within your community that faced backlash or controversy for doing things similar to what you did. Not only might you make some meaningful connections with artists who can empathize with your situation, but it might inspire you to decide whether or not social media is worth it for you.
