It's a crutch that will cripple you in the long run. By taking the road less traveled, in time, you will overcome. They're giving sound advice and anons would be wise to take it seriously.
I still do sculpt, hard surface modelling in 3D but I don't use it when I draw or paint.
You can but the result is usually something like the OP where the head looks misaligned etc.
The trick is to be able to "feel the form".
3D sculpting has helped me think in 3D space but if I relied on it solely I know my 2D would suffer from it.
