Will learning Japanese help me make more money in comics / manga? I want to publish comics but i don't know if its monetarily worth learning the language

No, getting to a level where you can write in a foreign language and have it sound completely natural is really fucking hard. It's beyond C2 level. You'd have to study for a very long time to get there and if writing manga in japanese is the only reason you want to learn, you're much better off just paying someone to translate your work for you.

No. Nips themselves have trouble getting into the industry. What hope do you have? Seriously though, independent webcomics are a thing now. You don't need to go through the japanese industry. You can literally just build a site. Post your comic on it. Advertise it. Simple as that. The trouble will be getting people to read it I guess.

Cause in the west comics are surprisingly niche. Even marvel/dc comics are still struggling to grow after 12+ years of dominating the cinema.
The main thing that sells are trade paperbacks and graphic novels that are stand alone and take more than 2 minutes to read.
Independent comics have no chance unless they get cross media marketing somehow.

You mean in print sales right? because webcomics shit like webtoons have more readers than DC, and Marvel combined by a looooooooooong margin, it's hundreds of thousands readers for DC versus tens of millions for WEEBtoons
