Honestly, not even trying to play the stolen valor card here, there's still legitimacy to his military service enhancing his visual library of military stuff, especially if he was an armorer (you stare at guns all day, arguably more than the actual operators who do the killing). But it ought to be clarified, I don't think he had special forces training himself that granted him super human ability or discipline, nor has he done the things that special forces are known to do. That is, unless Korean military is the exception in the world, and they make their maintenance personnel go thru the same training as the hardcore operators for some reason.
